Wolves’ Burnley comeback: Sub magic, Said statement & impressive loanee
Notebook thoughts from Wolves’ victory under the lights at Turf Moor.
Tawanda Chirewa - take a bow! That was some impact from the 23-year-old who needed just seconds to make his mark and fire Wolves to victory.
Cesar Peixoto’s side produced a superb comeback to return to winning ways at Burnley. Here are some talking points from Turf Moor.
Peixoto rings the changes
Cesar Peixoto made six changes, including three in defence and alterations at both full-back positions.
Wolves made a difficult start, but showed plenty of fight and resilience to turn the game around and claim a much-needed victory.
Rafiki Said impresses
Rafiki Said was handed his first start after two substitute appearances - and the winger seized his opportunity.

He was fearless in taking on his man, giving Kyle Walker a difficult evening with his direct running and willingness to attack. Although he was not always successful, Said never stopped trying, bringing urgency and unpredictability to Wolves’ play.
Neave takes his chance
With Raul Jimenez undergoing knee surgery and Adam Armstrong missing out with a back problem, teenage loanee Sean Neave was handed his first Championship start.

The young forward worked tirelessly, linked play well and helped create opportunities, including setting up Fer Lopez for the equaliser.
It was an encouraging display from Neave, who made a strong case for further involvement.
Vardy strikes - but what about VAR?
Jamie Vardy escaped the Wolves defence to score his first Burnley goal, although it was a tight call that would likely have attracted scrutiny in the Premier League.
Regardless of the offside debate, Wolves will be disappointed with their defending. Crucially, they responded well rather than allowing the setback to derail them.
Lopez delivers again
Fer Lopez may not have returned from international duty at full fitness, but he continues to make an impact.

Just when Wolves needed a response, the Spaniard capitalised to level the scores and shift the momentum. He remained influential throughout, underlining his importance to Peixoto’s side.
Chirewa’s instant impact
Boom! Chirewa had barely stepped onto the pitch before finding the net.
Released through on goal, the substitute made no mistake, firing Wolves into the lead with a clinical finish. He looked assured in possession in the minutes that followed, too.

It was a dream introduction and a decisive contribution from the bench.
Turf Moor hoodoo ends
Wolves ended an eight-game winless run in league visits to Burnley, securing their first victory at Turf Moor since 2010.
The result also halted Burnley’s impressive record against Wolves, having lost just one of their previous 11 league meetings.
Jubilant scenes
The celebrations at full-time among the travelling supporters were a fitting end to the night.

One moment that stood out was Nasser Djiga heading straight towards the away end at the final whistle, letting his emotions show and embracing the occasion.
After a difficult spell, it was a reminder of what a win like this can mean.
