Wolves goal hero Tawanda Chirewa describes ‘amazing feeling’ after comeback win
Chirewa gave his reaction after scoring within seconds of his introduction at Turf Moor.
Goal hero Tawanda Chirewa described the “amazing feeling” of firing Wolves to a comeback victory at Burnley.
The 23-year-old struck seconds after coming off the bench to seal Wolves’ first win at Turf Moor since 2010.
The victory ended Wolves’ difficult return from the international break, with Chirewa leading the celebrations alongside the travelling supporters at full-time.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the 23-year-old said: “It was an amazing feeling to help the team. I’ve been waiting for my moment and today I’ve helped the team to win.

“The last couple of performances since the West Brom game hasn’t been up to our standards.
“It wasn’t about the performance, it was about momentum. We go again on Tuesday.”
After Fer Lopez’s equaliser, Cesar Peixoto turned to his bench in search of a winner, and Chirewa made an immediate impact.
Mateus Mane capitalised on Igor’s heavy touch before finding Chirewa, whose effort squeezed past Gregoire Coudert despite the goalkeeper getting a hand to the ball.
“I thought I had hit the corner enough, but thank god it went in,” Chirewa added.
Spaniard Lopez played a key role in the comeback win, netting the leveller - his sixth goal of the season so far.
On the win, Lopez said: “We were struggling. For the first half an hour, we were the worst team. They were playing much better.
“We have to adapt. If they are getting on the press, we have to change something.
“The last game I missed two. I miss three chances to score one, that’s my ratio at the moment but I'm very happy.”
