West Brom’s 2-0 loss away at Sheffield United on Wednesday night have dented their hopes of making the Championship play-offs this season. The Baggies will now win their remaining two games of the campaign and hope other teams do them a favour if they are to sneak into the top six.

Carlos Corberan has done a decent job since taking over at the Hawthorns from Steve Bruce last year but their back-to-back defeats to Sunderland and now the Blades means their fate is no longer in their own hands. They are back in action on Saturday at home to Norwich City before a final day trip to in-form Swansea City. Here are the current standings....

1. Burnley, 95 points (P)

2. Sheffield United, 85 points (P)

3. Luton Town, 78 points (Play-offs secured)

4. Middlesbrough, 74 points (Play-offs secured)

5. Coventry City, 66 points

6. Sunderland, 65 points

7. Millwall, 65 points

8. Blackburn Rovers, 65 points

9. West Brom, 63 points

10. Preston North End, 63 points
