Premier League sack race: Aston Villa, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool & West Ham managers assessed - gallery

After the sacking of Jesse Marsch at Leeds United, the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Nathan Jones, Gary O’Neil and David Moyes are being assessed.

Leeds United became the latest Premier League club to part ways with their manager mid-season, as the well-liked American head coach Jesse Marsch was relieved of his duties on Monday. The 49-year-old Wisconsin native left the Lilywhites precariously above the relegation zone, in 17th place on goal difference alone.

Michael Skubala, Paco Gallardo and Chris Armas were dealt the responsibility of facing Manchester United on Wednesday and they managed to guide Leeds to a well-earned point in a 2-2 draw. You’ve got to feel the damage has already been done for Leeds’ season, though, with just 18 points collected in 20 games before Marsch’s sacking.

As is the incredibly fast-paced nature of the Premier League, plenty has happened since then, especially at Manchester City. Pep Guardiola has been tipped to leave the club soon after they were charged with over 100 alleged breaches of financial rules spanning from 2009 to 2018 – leaving both his and the Citizens’ future in major doubt.

Elsewhere in the division, West Ham manager David Moyes remains under plenty of pressure with just one point separating his side from the bottom three. AFC Bournemouth head coach Gary O’Neil is on thin ice two points below the Hammers, whereas Nathan Jones may not even reach half a season in charge of Southampton, who are in 20th.

With so much up in the air at the moment, we thought it’d be interesting to take a look at the latest bookies’ likelihoods of each club sacking their manager next. From the least likely to the most, here is the current Premier League ‘sack race’. See below.
