Leeds United next manager favourites - including current & former West Brom and Celtic bosses - gallery

The latest favourites to become the next Leeds United manager after Jesse Marsch was sacked - including Carlos Corberan, Marcelo Bielsa and Mauricio Pochettino.

West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberan is the early favourite to become the next Leeds United manager after Jesse Marsch was relieved of his duties on Monday. Former Lilywhites boss Marcelo Bielsa, current Celtic head coach Ange Postecoglou and the unemployed Mauricio Pochettino are among those being tipped for the role, with plenty others in contention.

Down above the Premier League bottom three on goal difference alone and without a win in seven games, Leeds are deep in a relegation battle. Things are looking bleak for the Yorkshire side, who have managed just four wins and have suffered 10 defeats in 20 matches so far this term.

Although many thought it was harsh to sack Marsch, the nail in the American’s coffin was a narrow 1-0 defeat in a six-pointer against Nottingham Forest on Sunday. The clash was vital for both sides as they looked to put valuable points on the board, but Leeds were on the wrong end of a tight encounter.

There is not long at all until the next Premier League challenge for Leeds, as they welcome bitter rivals Manchester United to Elland Road on Wednesday evening. With that game so soon, it is unlikely that the Whites will have a new manager appointed by then. We could see a fresh face by the end of this week or the start of next, however.

See below for the latest odds for ‘next permanent Leeds manager’ - as of 12pm on Tuesday, February 7.
