Hide AdBuchanan suffered a calf injury towards the end of July, but started training last week, and is pushing towards being included in the match day squad. Sanderson was red carded against Charlton Athletic last month, and that coincided with him being injured, but now he's back after recovering from a foot injury.
Ethan Laird and Luke Harris are both sidelined until October with ankle injuries. Laird did his in August, coming off injured against Wigan Athletc, whilst Harris did his in the same game, however out of the two players, it's Laird who is the closest to returning.
Academy graduate midfielder Alfie Chang has not been included in Blues' squad list that they submitted to the EFL. They still have a place should they wish to include him, but he can still play for the under-21s team as an overaged player, and has returned to light training.
Out: Alfie Chang, Ethan Laird, and Luke Harris. Doubt: Dion Sanderson and Lee Buchanan.
