“We just kind of left him! Our heads were scrambled” - A comical mix-up took place after Birmingham’s clash against Wrexham when the team bus set off for Wales without midfielder George Dobson.

Dobson was left behind in the city after Wrexham's 3-1 loss to Birmingham.

The League One clash, which was described as ‘The Hollywood derby’, was at St Andrew’s Stadium on September 16.

The bus headed back to Wales after the defeat, leaving Dobson behind at St Andrew's Stadium.

Fortunately, the situation was quickly resolved, and Dobson was able to rejoin the team.

This light-hearted moment came after a tough match for Wrexham, marking their first league defeat of the season.

The mix-up came to light when answering a fan question, player James McClean said: “It’s true! He was doing the drug test after the game. Our heads were scrambled and we just kind of left him.”

McClean was recording Ben Foster’s Fozcast podcast at William Aston Hall in Wrexham at the time.
