Villa have been bold in the summer transfer window, adding a number of high-profile players, including last season’s loan star Philippe Coutinho and free agent Boubacar Kamara.

Diego Carlos has also been snapped up in a bid to improve the back-line, and Villa are already looking significantly stronger, with more arrivals and exits.

In that vein, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Villa Park:

Windfall secured

Villa have secured a transfer windfall, with Trezeguet leaving the club on a permanent basis.

The Egyptian has been heavily linked with a move away from Villa Park this summer, no longer required by Gerrard amid a quicky improving squad.

And Trezeguet has now sealed his exit, joining Turkish giant Trabzonspor after three years in the Midlands.

The deal is said to be worth around £3.4million to Villa, with Trabzonspor chief Ali Agaoglu thanking Villa for the deal.

He said upon announcing the deal: “The transfer process took longer than we thought it would but I want to thank Aston Villa for their professionalism and I am happy the move is now completed.”

Luiz latest

Another player who has been linked with a Villa exit is Douglas Luiz.

The Brazilian could raise significant funds for the Lions as they continue their investment this summer, and reports have suggested most interest is coming from Italy.

But it seems Serie A champions AC Milan are not chasing a deal, despite being linked with Luiz this summer.

According to Calciomercato, Milan like Luiz, but they are looking for players with ‘more quality’ to add to their squad.
