Aston Villa have tied up a new contract for Ashley Young, as announced on their official club website.
The veteran has put pen-to-paper on a 12-month extension ahead of the next campaign.
He made the move back to Villa Park last year and played 25 times last term.
Young injects useful experience into Gerrard’s squad and has made just under 650 appearances in his career to date, having also played for Watford, Manchester United and Inter Milan.
