Aston Villa latest transfer news - as Fabrizio Romano provides an update on Nicolo Zaniolo, as well as a potential outgoing.

Aston Villa are said to hold an interest in signing Sevilla's Marcos Acuna, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist posted this morning that the Villains have a 'genuine interest' in Marcos Acuna. He is said to be on the list as Unai Emery's 'potential next target' though there has been no agreement on a fee with Sevilla. Romano adds that the player is keen on experiencing Premier League football.

Fans will be able to watch Acuna in action tonight against English opposition, as the 31-year-old is in Greece, as Sevilla gear up to face Manchester City in the UEFA Super Cup. He featured for Sevilla in their opening day defeat to Valencia last friday, and played at full-back.

Acuna is an Argentina international, and is a teammate of Emiliano Martinez and Emiliano Buendia. It is reported by Vamos Mi Sevilla that Acuna's club value him at £13m, but they could offer Diego Carlos as part of the deal to bring down the overall transfer fee.

Meanwhile, Nicolò Zaniolo is expected to finalise his move to Villa Park today. Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk confirmed the Italy international 'wants to play in the Premier League' and will fly out today to finalise the move. It will cost a reported £3.4m loan fee, before joining on a permanent deal for £23m plus add-ons.

“Zaniolo wants to play in the Premier League and we respect that,” coach Okan Buruk said after his side beat NK Olimpia Lubiana in the UEFA Champions League.

“It would seem to be in the best interests of the club as well to let him go. We already have Tete and will sign other reinforcements.”

In other news, Lucas Digne could be on his way out, with Saudi clubs, as well as two European clubs being described as 'keen on signing him'. Saudi outlet Arriyadiyah reported that Al-Hilal want to make the French international their final signing of the summer after completing the £100m signing of Neymar. The 30-year-old started for Villa in the 5-1 defeat to Newcastle United on the opening day of the Premier League weekend.
