Works closing major West Midlands route overnight for five days
Overnight closures continue until Thursday
Overnight road closures on the A38M Aston Expressway between Gravelly Hill and Birmingham City Centre are continuing this week, with the highway works due to be completed on Thursday, November 5.
The closures began on Sunday, November 1, and are taking place nightly between 10pm and 5am.
The works are affecting bus services X12 and X13, which are being diverted while the Aston Expressway is closed.
Buses travelling towards Birmingham are being diverted via:
- Tyburn Road
- Salford Circus
- Lichfield Road
- Aston Road
Services travelling out of Birmingham are following the reverse of the diversion.
Passengers travelling on the X12 and X13 are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and check for the latest service updates.
Motorists are also advised to plan ahead and follow signed diversion routes while the works continue.
