Jack Grealish, 27, is once again a Premier League winner. The Manchester City winger has massively picked up form this season, starting most games under Pep Guardiola and being hailed by many as one of the world’s best. His side celebrated their second consecutive league win yesterday (May 21) at the Etihad.

As Arsenal began to drop points due to crucial errors from Aaron Ramsdale and an overall lack of team desire, City overtook the clear-cut favourites, and looked set to be crowned champions this weekend. Arsenal could’ve been in with a shot, but the North London side failed to beat relegation battlers Nottingham Forest in a 1-0 defeat at the City Ground. Grealish and Manchester City had to wait until their game against Chelsea on Sunday to lift the trophy, despite being confirmed winners.

Solihull-born star Jack Grealish was given a well-earned rest in the victory over Chelsea, and put his conserved energy to good use once the final whistle had been blown. Before being handed their winners medals, the squad headed back into the changing rooms to put on their 23 Champions shirts. Waiting in the Etihad tunnel, Grealish and City goalkeeper Ederson shared what appeared to be a rather strong alcoholic beverage, in true British spirit (pardon the pun).

Once the trophy had been lifted by captain Ilkay Gundogan, Grealish headed over to Micah Richards to speak on how happy he’s been with how the season turned out. Talking about his close bond with Erling Haaland, he told Sky Sports: “We’ve got a great relationship… we come into training a lot together, we live in the same building… when you’ve got a relationship like that off the pitch, on the pitch it makes things much easier really.”

The record-breaking Norwegian striker then made a cameo in the interview, comically crashing in, to the delight of Jack and Micah Richards. Haaland, 22, attempted his best Manc accent, and told the former Aston Villa captain: “I f****** love you, you know that?!”

Finally, Grealish took to Instagram to share a memorable snap from the day, of himself kissing the Premier League trophy. He captioned the post: “Premier league champions!!!! 🏆💙”.
