After Manchester City’s game at the Bernabeu in Madrid, Jack Grealish took the time to send his support to a less fortunate Manchester City Supporter. The video has since been posted to Twitter by the recipient’s son.

Twitter user Nathan revealed he received the message from the footballer  to show to his father, Rob, who has sadly been in intensive care since 29 April. In the video, Grealish speaks whilst walking from the turf into the Bernabeu tunnel after a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid.

He says: “'Hi Rob, Jack Grealish here. Just a quick video message. I've heard you're not doing too well at the moment. I just want to send all my love and support on behalf of me and everyone at Man City. I hope all is well soon. All the best mate.”

Nathan captioned the tweet: “My dad unfortunately has been in intensive care since 29/04.

Last night I received a message from Madrid as a surprise for him and to help keep his spirits up. He was really touched when I managed to show him before. Thank you @JackGrealish and @ManCity 💙”.

Grealish recorded the message after his first ever Champions League semi-final start. The winger played a full 90 minutes against the defending champions of Europe, in which he created six chances, the most of any player on the pitch.
