Jack Low was the recipient of the video, a former youth player for Crystal Palace FC. He has recently received overwhelming support on social media after a documentary on the club showed the heartbreaking moment he was released from the academy.

The young footballer initially shared the video on TikTok to thank the Manchester City winger for his support. In the caption, he wrote: “Thank you @Jack Grealish for your message. I can not tell you how much of an inspiration this message means to me. It’s good to know that even the greatest footballers have to deal with rejection. Thank you, Jack Low”.

Football fans took to the comments to share their admiration of Grealish’s kindness. One user wrote: “Class on and off the pitch, can’t help but love the guy.” Another added: “Really nice to see this from Jack. I just wish that football fans can put their hate aside for players when they do something good.”

A third user remembered the time Grealish pulled out a special celebration after scoring at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, to honour a promise he made to a young fan, saying: “Still remember of how Grealish made that promise to Finlay about the World Cup celebration vs Iran last year, class player and man”.
