Jack Grealish played a full 90 minutes in Man City’s away win over Fulham this Sunday (30 April). Once again, the Solihull-born star perfectly fulfilled his duty in the hybrid winger/full-back role Pep Guardiola has assigned to him.

At full time, most Fulham supporters were left feeling dejected, with goals from Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez resulting in a 2-1 defeat for the cottagers. Mason, a young Jack Grealish fan however, was over the moon.

Mason had created a sign to attract Jack’s attention once the match was finished. To his delight, the Manchester City and England star approached him and handed him his match-worn shirt.

Mason expressed his joy to Sky Sports after the game: “I’ve got Jack Grealish’s shirt. It was the best time of my life.”

Mason’s mum, Laura explained how despite being a family of Fulham supporters, her son has always been a big fan of the brummie winger. She said: “He watches him play for England and he’s just a huge fan of everything he does.

“He just really loves him.She explained the moment Grealish approached Mason after the game, saying: “He just said ‘there you go mate’ and I think it was really lovely.”

Manchester City are now undefeated in their last 18 games. In the next week from today (1 May), they face West Ham, Leeds, and finally Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final.

Grealish will now focus his attention on the three game road-trip which could ultimately see his team secure the Premier League trophy and gain them a spot in the Champions League final.
