Tensions were high throughout the match as multiple scraps broke out.

The first occurred at the end of the first half, where fans saw Arsenal right-back Ben White and City centre-back Ruben Dias come together. Several players from both sides then stepped in, which ultimately resulted in a yellow card for the Portuguese defender.

In the second half, Jack Grealish and Thomas Partey both received yellow cards for an off-camera altercation 75 minutes in. The scrap came just two minutes after Partey’s boot hit Grealish’s teammate and fellow England international in the head.

Both Grealish and Partey grabbed each other’s shirts as they exchanged some harsh words.

The atmosphere remained at boiling point between the two teams for the full game, which eventually ended in a 4-1 victory for Grealish’s side.

Kevin De Bruyne provided two excellent goals, as well as setting up a header for England international John Stones. A late goal from the Norwegian prodigy, Erling Haaland, was the icing on the cake for City.

Grealish, 27, has since shared a selection of photos of Manchester City’s dressing room celebrations after the game on Instagram.

The post received over a million likes with many commenters joining the team to celebrate their potential title-clinching win.
