Manchester City took full control of the Premier League title race with a comfortable 4-1 home win over Arsenal on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s men dominated from start to finish against the Gunners, taking an early lead through Kevin De Bruyne. John Stones made it two with a header before the break, and De Bruyne scored a second to make it three after half-time.

Hide AdRob Holding did get one back for the visitors, but the goal would have no impact on the result, with Erling Haaland getting his goal with virtually the final kick of the game. City now move within two points of Arsenal with two games in-hand still to play and seven games remaining in their season.
Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish produced top performances once again for City, and the two celebrated in the Manchester City dressing room after the final whistle.
Grealish posted a photo on his Instagram account of himself and Haaland with their tops off in the dressing room. He added the caption: “Nights like these at the Etihad don’t get much better! A long way still to go! Cmon the boys!!
The result means City are now huge favourites for the title, with Guardiola’s side trailing the Gunners by two points but with two games in hand.
