In an interview with the Daily Star, the television presenter reassured her followers that she was not “leaving any time soon” and said that she will “never leave.”

Alison revealed plans to remain on the show until she’s “got a walking stick and grey hair” as she opened up about her schedule.

The TV presenter explained that Bake Off will be filming on the weekends, so it shouldn’t interrupt her Friday presenting schedule on This Morning.

She said that she has no plans to give up her role after having “the best 20 years” and thanked viewers for watching.

It comes after the ITV show faced an Easter break presenter shake-up with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary not presenting the programme this week.

The pair were covering the daily programme for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield whilst the duo enjoyed their Easter break.

Alison and Dermot presented the show all of last week, causing controversy when Alison made comments regarding theatre etiquette.

The debate came after audience members began “trying to sing over the cast” of The Bodyguard in Manchester, with the show being cut short on Friday evening.

During the discussion on This Morning, Alison said: “I can’t believe it. I’d be devastated. I’m not even going to go to that show now.”

Alison has since published a public apology on her Twitter account after viewers and theatre actors blasted her for not acknowledging how disrespectful the audience had been.

Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle have been brought in to present ITV’s This Morning this week after proving to be fan favourites.

Craig won the hearts of viewers after presenting the show last summer alongside Alison Hammond.

The presenter shake-up comes after regular host Phillip Schofield is reportedly holding crisis talks with the show’s bosses over his break from the show.

Craig announced he would be returning to the show on Instagram with a photo of himself with co-host Josie, saying: “Reunited on the This Morning sofa all next week.”

The shake-up follows on from Alison and Dermot’s successful week of presenting which saw fans asking for them to become more regularly featured on the programme.

Following the end of their presenting run together, Alison shared a sweet tribute video of Dermot to Instagram where she said: “Happy Good Friday ! @dermotoleary your the best !”
