Alison Hammond: ITV This Morning presenter’s divorce, failed engagement and boyfriend split explained

Alison Hammond is one of Birmingham’s most known famous faces and has risen in popularity since appearing on Big Brother in 2002.

The television presenter, 48, has made a name for herself presenting several shows including her appearances on ITV’s This Morning.

Last month it was announced that Alison would be joining the team of The Great British Bake-Off alongside co-host Noel Fielding and judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

We’ve taken a look at Alison’s love life including her divorce, failed engagement and latest split.

Is Alison Hammond single?

Alison Hammond has teased that she might be single multiple times in the last few weeks during her appearances on ITV’s This Morning.

It’s led many to believe that she has split from her boyfriend of two years Ben Hawkins.

Recently on This Morning, whilst the presenters were discussing ITV’s new show Romance Retreat, it was suggested that Alison joined the show and she replied: “Hey, I am single.”

Just a week later, whilst presenting the show with Holly Willoughby, Alison again referenced being single.

The pair of women were talking about Pear Rings which are a piece of jewellery that singletons can wear to show that they are open to meeting new people. Fans were quick to spot Alison wearing her own ring.

Alison told the show: “As you can see, I’ve got my single ring on”, with Holly responding: “Hopefully you won’t need it for a lifetime.”

Ben Hawkins

Alison kept her ‘mystery boyfriend’ quiet for years, before it was revealed she was dating landscape gardener Ben Hawkins.

Ben reportedly lives with his parents in their Worcestershire home where Alison was spotted visiting with him.

The pair met when she hired Ben to work on her garden in 2021 and the television presenter had previously teased fans saying that she was willing to marry her boyfriend.

During an appearance on This Morning, she described her boyfriend as “lovely” and that she had been hiding him “for a year and a half…and no-one knew.”

Alison’s mystery romance was revealed by her co-host Dermot O’Leary in June of last year as he revealed that she was a ‘taken’ woman.

Back in February, Ben’s dad hinted that his son was planning on getting married to Alison, telling the MailOnline: “I do know they have both proposed to one another but there are no rings that I know of.”

Noureddine Boufaied

Alison was previously married to Noureddine Boufaied and the couple share one son together, Aiden who is 18-years-old.

The couple were married when she appeared on the 2002 series of Big Brother.

At the time, Alison refused to disclose the father of her baby but the Manchester taxi driver then posed with the television presenter for a magazine shoot together when she was three months pregnant.

Jamie Savage

Alison was previously engaged to security guard Jamie Savage, who she met online.

The couple quickly got engaged after meeting in 2014, but announced they had split three years later.

At the time, Alison shared that the couple had separated claiming that it was “the worst news ever.”

Ben Kusi

Alison had a brief relationship with television sound technician Ben Kusi in 2020.

The couple met on the set of Channel 4’s Celebs Go Dating but the relationship didn’t last too long.
