The This Morning presenter mistook co-stars Nik and Eva Speaksman during an episode of Channel 4’s Celebrity Hunted

Alison Hammond refused to let the This Morning therapists enter her home due to their disguises.

The Brummie presenter, 48, received a late visit from Nik and Eva Speaksman as they tried to seek refuge in her home while on the run for an episode of Celebrity Hunted.

The episode of Celebrity Hunted was in support of the Stand Up To Cancer charity, and involved celebs trying to evade a team of hunters for as long as possible.

Nik and Eva Speaksman sparked confusion with their unique disguises, as they caused Alison to believe they were actually hunters from the show.

Once the Brummie presenter recognised her colleagues, she of course allowed them inside for some homemade food.

Nik Speaksman, 61, explained the comical misunderstanding to The Express, saying: “We were staying with Alison and when we turned up on her doorstep, firstly she didn’t want to let us in, because she thought we were Hunters because we were in disguise!”

Nik went on to explain how Alison’s (eventual) hospitality lifted he and Eva’s spirits, as they see Alison as part of their family.

He said: “A day has never gone by where we have not spoken to our kids, ever, and to be isolated from our kids, that did make us feel lonely.

“Seeing Alison, because I feel like she’s part of our family, she just made us feel better.”

Nik had high praise for Alison’s cooking. The presenter recently invited the Prince and Princess of Wales to her house for dinner.

Nik’s co-star and other half, Eva, elaborated on the pair’s love for their colleague: “She’s there and gives you a big hug, and it does feel so comforting. So she was fabulous - so good.”
