‘Totally got that wrong’: Alison Hammond fans rage after ITV confirms she won’t host Big Brother


Alison Hammond fans have been left gutted as it was revealed that she will not be hosting the upcoming series of Big Brother.
The This Morning presenter, 48, from Birmingham, has been heavily favoured to become a presenter on Big Brother since she found fame on the reality show in 2002.

Hide AdFans admitted they were disappointed that she will not be making an appearance on the revamped series, after an announcement on the official Big Brother Twitter account on Tuesday morning (25 April).
AJ Odudu, who used to present Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, and now hosts Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast is set to join T4 on the Beach presenter, Will Best, as hosts for Big Brother’s return.
One Twitter said: Totally got that wrong!!! Alison!! @ITV nil points! Miss Hammond should be presenting @AlisonHammond @thismorning”
Another added: “FANTASTIC! Now we just need confirmation of @marcusBBbentley as voice-over and @Rylan and @AlisonHammond for sister show!”

Hide AdRumours of Alison Hammond featuring on the reboot series have been circulating since 2022.
She first addressed the speculation on an episode of Loose Women and expressed that she would be up for the job, saying: “If Big Brother came my way, of course, I’d probably say yes.”
However, Alison later confirmed during a live This Morning broadcast that she would not be the host of Big Brother’s return series.
Instead, she announced to viewers that she would be hosting a street party to celebrate King Charles III’s coronation on Coronation Street.
Alison Hammond recently met up with royals Prince William and Princess Kate. In true Alison fashion, she invited them both for dinner at her home.
