'Just lovely' West Midlands play centre with 'perfect' café is rated five stars and I'm not surprised

A huge congratulations to Adventure Street - Children's Role Play Centre at Baggeridge Craft Village for achieving a food hygiene rating of 5. Honestly, I’m not surprised one bit.

I’ve been taking my three kids – Alice, Ada and Tommy – there for the past eight years. That’s a lot of rainy Saturdays, birthday parties, after school treats and “Mum, can we go to Adventure Street?” moments. And every single time, it’s been just lovely.

If you’ve ever braved a typical soft play, you’ll know what I mean when I say this place is different. No sticky tables. No mysterious fluff balls in the corners. No feeling like you need to scrub everyone head to toe the second you get home. It’s miles better than the usual grubby soft plays. Adventure Street is always clean, tidy and calm in the best possible way.

The role play set-up is brilliant. It’s proper imaginative play. Little shops, stations and themed areas where they can disappear into their own worlds for hours. I’ve watched all three of mine grow in confidence there. Alice organising her “shop”, Ada fully committed to her role, and Tommy proudly taking his job very seriously. It’s creative, it’s hands-on, and it actually holds their attention.

What I also love is how safe and secure it feels. As a parent, that matters. You can sit down with a coffee and genuinely relax because you know they’re fine. And speaking of coffee, it’s lovely. Not just “it’ll do” soft play coffee. Proper, enjoyable, sit-and-have-a-chat coffee.

We’ve even had birthday parties there, and they’ve always been smooth, well organised and stress-free. The team are friendly, calm and clearly care about what they do. You can see why customer reviews describe it as “just lovely” and “super safe and secure”. That sums it up perfectly.

Now with a five-star food hygiene rating to match the experience, it feels like the icing on the cake. It’s always been clean and well run in my eyes, so it’s great to see that officially recognised.

If you’re in the West Midlands and haven’t been yet, it’s absolutely worth a visit. For us, it’s not just a play centre. It’s been part of our family life for years. And I can’t imagine we’re done with it just yet.

Customer reviews say it best, with parents calling it “just lovely”, “super safe and secure” and praising the way it encourages truly imaginative play while staying spotlessly clean.
