The independent is the latest venture of established city restaurateurs Ann Tonks, Irene Allan and Ben Ternent.

Working alongside Ben is head chef Nathan Swift with Sam Greenaway as senior sous chef, Ana Chiriac as restaurant manager and Karina Koleva as bar manager.

What is on offer at Chapter?

The menus have taken months to be crafted using high quality British produce including Aubrey Allen for free range meat and artisanal cheeses; channel fisheries and M&J Seafood for fish - as well as Worcester Produce for local fruit and vegetables.

The choices for diners include daytime, dinner, Sunday and a children’s menu, alongside a bespoke drinks and cocktail selection created by Karina and her team.

The ingredients for Chapter’s cocktails include seasonal and beautifully curated flavours.

The dog-friendly bar area has great views over the terrace and into the state of the art open kitchen.

The restaurant also showcases artwork from Georgia Allen, a talented ceramicist who was born and raised in Birmingham.

Alongside the pottery by Georgia, other items and materials being used in the restaurant have been specifically sourced from across the UK by the Chapter team.

The kitchen fabrication, by Huddersfield based Greens Kitchens, is British and all plates and crockery are made in Stoke by the company Churchill. Their bespoke fixed seating and carpentry is being manufactured by family owned furniture company, ob&b in Old Hill in the Black Country.

What’s been said about the opening?

Ben Ternent said: “This really has been a labour of love by us all, and it’s been fantastic to see it all come together after so many months of planning. The feedback we have had so far has been incredible, with so many familiar faces contacting us for bookings and wanting to know what our restaurant is going to be serving and looking like.
