'Exciting changes': This luxury West Midlands playbarn has just got even better

Halloween fun at our favourite luxury West Midlands playbarn 🎃👻

If there’s one place that’s always worth a visit with the kids, it’s Hockerhill Adventure Playbarn.

We headed back for some Halloween fun with Tommy, Ada and Alice (aged 2, 5 and 8), and as always, it didn’t disappoint.

Hockerhill is honestly one of our favourite places to visit with the children. It’s got that lovely balance of being somewhere the kids can burn off all their energy while the grown-ups can actually enjoy themselves too.

I say it every single time but it’s a world away from your average grubby soft play - everything feels clean, well cared for and thoughtfully done, which makes such a difference when you’re visiting with little ones.

The Halloween trail and spooky decorations added an extra bit of magic to our visit, with plenty of seasonal touches to get everyone in the spirit. 🎃 But even without the Halloween extras, this place is always worth coming back to.

The go-karts are still a HUGE hit, especially with our eldest. And the new two-seater go-karts are such a brilliant addition, making it even easier for little ones to join in the fun with a grown-up.

We also loved seeing the new giant sandpit and the new little play area for younger children - perfect for keeping everyone entertained when you’ve got a range of ages to cater for.

And can we talk about the food? Because it really is so yummy! It’s always a bonus when somewhere manages to tick all the boxes for the children and the adults.

A little heads-up if you’re planning a visit: there’s currently a temporary road closure affecting access to Hockerhill. The Canal & River Trust bridge on Kiddemore Green Road/High Green has been damaged, so there’s no access from Brewood village.

You’ll need to approach from Bishops Wood along Kiddemore Green Road instead. Hockerhill is open as usual, but do allow extra time for your journey and check the recommended route before setting off.

There’s also 50% off entry tickets on selected dates in October, so it’s worth checking their What’s On page before booking!

All in all, another lovely visit to one of our favourite family spots. Whether you’re going for the Halloween fun or just fancy a really good day out with the kids, Hockerhill is one we’ll keep coming back to. 🧡
