Wolves ‘interested in signing’ Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic

Wolves are looking to bolster their attacking force this season

Wolves are reportedly in talks with Stuttgart over deal for striker Sasa Kalajdzic.

The Austrian has played for the German outfit since 2019, making 57 appearances and scoring 23 goals, and has fifteen caps for his national team.

Wolves are looking to improve upon a forward line that scored just 38 goals in the Premier League last season - the fourth lowest tally in the division - and has only scored one goal so far this season.

talkSPORT has reported that the two clubs are not close in their valuation of the player however. According to Sky Sports, Stuttgart value the forward at £21million, with Wolves only prepared to pay £15m for the 25-year old.

Manager Bruno Lage is hoping the addition of Kalajdzic will help to end the club’s ten-game winless run streching back to April’s victory over Aston Villa, and with neither Raul Jimenez nor Hwang Hee-Chan finding the net since March, Wolves are in need of a striker to end their barren run.

Wolves face Preston North End in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday at Molineux, before Saturday’s home fixture against Newcastle United in the Premier League, with the club sitting 18th in the table.
