Wolves face transfer blow in pursuit of striker as Leeds United emerge as surprise targets for winger

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ pursuit of a new striker is far from over with a potential deal for Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic not even close to getting done.
That’s according to talkSPORT who claim that the Austrian international is certainly on the list of Wolves but an imminent transfer - like some reports have suggested - is unlikely.

The 25-year-old who stands at a massive 6’7, has been attracting the interest of a number of Premier League clubs including Everton and Manchester United but it’s the gold and black who remain favourites for his signature.
Kalajdzic has just one year left on his contract with the Bundesliga outfit but would still likely cost Wolves around £17million if they were to get a deal done.
Since moving to Stuttgart in 2019, the Austrian has scored 24 goals and provided 12 assists across 60 appearances in all competitions.
Leeds United emerge as Hwang target
Elsewhere and Leeds United have emerged as a shock potential landing spot for Wolves winger Hwang Hee-chan.

Hide AdDan James has been attracting interest from clubs around the league in recent weeks and if the Welshman was to leave, Alan Nixon reports that Jesse Marsch would like to move for the South Korean as his replacement.
Marsch worked with Hwang during his time at both Salzburg and RB Leipzig and could potentially bring the best out of the 26-year-old who has struggled for form since his move to the Premier League.
The gold and black could make a slight profit on the versatile forward too with it being stated that it would take a fee of around £15million to land his services.
