Austrian striker Sasa Kalajdzic suffered a serious injury whilst out on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt. He is in to the final third of his rehabilitation, and is working towards a return. According to Express & Star journalist Liam Keen, he won't be available until December or January, and won't be named in Wolves’ 25-man squad.

Nelson Semedo serves the third and final game of his suspension after picking up a red card against Liverpool on the final day of the campaign.

Burnley team news

Both Aaron Ramsey and Nathan Redmond are sidelined with knee injuries. Ramsey was stretchered off during a Premier League game in February and is working towards a return.

Experienced winger Redmond underwent surgery for a knee injury in January and still remains sidelined. Wolves linked Luca Koleosho and Josh Cullen are also likely to miss out. The pair missed the 1-0 defeat to Sunderland at the weekend.

Koleosho, who was subject of a £20m bid from Wolves, along with Cullen, is a doubt for their game against Blackburn Rovers, and that more or less rules them out for the trip to Molineux. Cullen’s knock is the more serious of the two and he is at risk of missing the Republic of Ireland’s upcoming matches.

“They’re knocks, so they weren’t involved due to injuries,” Scott Parker said to the Burnley Express.

“Both are minor-ish, maybe a little bit longer with Josh. Hopefully we can try and get them back for Saturday’s game, but we will have to see how he comes in on Monday regarding that.”

Manuel Benson and Wout Weghorst were also absent against Sunderland amid ongoing transfer interest. The summer transfer window shuts on Friday, August 30, and Benson who was an unused substitute against Luton Town and Cardiff City, is now subject of interest from Leeds United.

Jordan Beyer, Hjalmar Ekdal and Hannes Delcroix are all sidelined with injuries, and Beyer is the furthest away out of the trio. Delcroix and Ekdal are both ‘on the grass’ but Beyer isn’t.

As for Mike Tresor, OGC Nice are reportedly in talks with Burnley to sign him, but there is still work to be done before the two teams can find a middle ground. He’s not featured for them so far, and spent time away from the club this month following an injury problem.

Defender Ameen Al-Dakhil signed for Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart for an undisclosed fee, and is the 17th player to depart Turf Moor this summer.

Out: Aaron Ramsey, Hannes Delcroix, Hjalmar Ekdal, Jordan Beyer, Josh Cullen, Luca Koleosho, Mike Tresor, Nathan Redmond. Doubt: Manuel Benson and Wout Weghorst.
