Hide AdFootball Insider reports Wolves have acted on their interest by sending an offer of £250,000 plus add-ons for Sutherland. St Mirren are said to have immediately rebuffed Wanderers’ approach as they hope to keep hold of one of their highest rated prospects.
The Scottish Premiership outfit may be tempted by an increased sum, however, as Sutherland has less than a year remaining on his contract. This week is the last window of opportunity to earn a respectable transfer fee as clubs will be free to talk to the player in January over pre-contract agreements.
Wolves could face competition in their efforts to land Sutherland as The Mirror reported in April that Manchester City and Chelsea had been keeping a close eye on the player’s progress. Crystal Palace were also credited with an interest as Oliver Glasner is keen on building for the future.

The 18-year-old has made just four senior appearances for St Mirren but recently enjoyed a successful loan at Scottish League One side Alloa Athletic.
Sutherland, gaining his first regular experience of senior competitive action, scored two goals and made six assists in 18 matches for Alloa. The teenager will be looking to further his progression this season.
