Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms to sign Jean-Ricner Bellegarde from Chelsea feeder club RC Strasbourg on Deadline Day.

The 25-year-old, who comes under Todd Boehly’s ownership after the American’s majority acquisition of Strasbourg, has been heavily linked with Wolves over the last week or so.

After negotiations spanning the course of a few days, Wanderers are said to have offered acceptable terms to the player. It’s now up to the two clubs to conclude the deal.

This is according to reliable Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, who reports Bellegarde wants to move immediately, rejecting the opportunity to sign a new deal with Strasbourg.

Talks are said to be underway with Wolves hopeful the transfer can be wrapped up by the 11pm deadline.
