Wolverhampton Wanderers star Hwang Hee-Chan never disappoints his fans, whether on the back of a win, loss or draw – even a disallowed goal.
The versatile forward stays mightily late after matches to sign autographs, take selfies and enjoy a chit-chat with those patient enough to try and meet their hero. As is his celebrity status back in his home nation, hundreds of South Korean supporters flock to the Black Country for every single fixture and they quite often get more than they bargained for.

Hide AdBirmingham World first spotted Hwang with fans after the 1-0 win over Sheffield United on February 25 as the 28-year-old stuck around until about two hours after full-time. The same happened again last weekend following the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal and then - you guessed it - Hwang treated his loyal following again after Thursday’s loss to Bournemouth.
The queue often extends out along the stretch of the car park adjacent to the Sir Jack Hayward Stand and it takes Hwang at least 45 minutes to greet everyone. The interactions aren’t particularly short, either, as each fan relishes about 30 seconds with their beloved player.
Other Premier League stars perform similar classy acts but the regularity and consistency of Hwang’s efforts simply can’t be ignored. The South Korea international deserves all the plaudits and he should be an example for everyone in the top flight.
