West Brom team news: James Morrison makes rare line-up call

Albion have confirmed a rare unchanged decision.

James Morrison has confirmed an unchanged team for Tuesday night’s clash against Southampton.

The Baggies boss had hinted he was toying with the decision after the stunning 3-1 win at West Ham on Saturday and has decided to keep his starting line-up the same.

It is the first time this season the Baggies boss has named an unchanged side.

That means striker Jimmy-Jay Morgan, so impressive during the win in the capital, continues to lead the line despite ill-founded rumours he had picked up a knock at the London Stadium.

It was reported in some places that Morgan had limped out of the Hammers win with an injury, but the former Southampton academy youngsters starts against his old club at The Hawthorns.

It is billed as a crunch clash as fourth faces fifth with two sides having enjoyed an electric start to the campaign.

There is one change to the Baggies’ matchday squad on a big night for academy graduate Rio Parmar, who has been included on the bench over winger Kareem Tunde.

For 19-year-old Parmar it is a first inclusion in a league matchday squad, alongside fellow youngster Matty Crowther, 18.

Tunde misses out with a minor foot knock from West Ham.

Southampton have been dealt a major blow with the absence of lively Brazilian winger Leo Scienza. Dangerous Canadian striker Cyle Larin is absent through injury as expected. Ex-Albion youngster Finn Azaz starts for the Saints, with Tom Fellows and Lewis Dobbin on the bench.

Albion (4-4-1-1): O’Leary; Pereira, Mepham, Campbell (c), Styles; Nzingoula, Molumby, Diakite, Price; Horn Myhre; Morgan.

Subs: Ingram (gk), Phillips, Townsend, Whitwell, Bany, Stewart, Parmar, Stewart, Heggebo.
