West Brom team news confirmed with three changes and attacking call

Albion’s line-up in Preston has been confirmed.

James Morrison has confirmed three changes to his Albion side for the clash at Championship basement boys Preston North End.

The Baggies head coach is looking for a third win on the spin and has made changes in forward and midfield areas for the Deepdale contest.

Ousmane Diakite has come in for the injured Toby Collyer in the expected alteration in Lancashire.

Morrison has also opted to replace five-goal forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan and midfielder Rabby Nzingoula to face the bottom side.

Into the starting line-up come Harry Whitwell and last weekend’s last-gasp match-winner against Blackburn Felix Horn Myhre.

It remains to be seen quite which formation Morrison lines his side up with against Preston. Albion have generally played 4-4-2 this season and that is the most likely line-up.

But the last two games have started 4-3-3, with an extra midfield body as Morrison has tried to freshen things up variety.

A 4-4-2 shape would see midfielder Horn Myhre likely in support of striker Barney Stewart, who stays in to lead the line preferred over Morgan and Aune Heggebo.

It would be Isaac Price out to the left and Whitwell on the right.

A 4-3-3 could see Horn Myre or Whitwell join the midfield and the other out wide.

Albion goalkeeper and backline have unsurprisingly stayed the same, with George Campbell and Chris Mephem preferred.

Hosts Preston prop up the Championship table with one win from 11 all season and have sacked Paul Heckingbottom and appointed Graham Alexander. The latter has lost three from three in charge.

Albion (4-4-2): O’Leary; Pereira, Mepham, Campbell (c), Styles; Whitwell, Diakite, Molumby; Horn Myhre, Stewart.

Subs: Ingram (gk), Phillips, Townsend, Crowther, Nzingoula, Bany, Tunde, Morgan, Heggebo
