Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton will be coming down in place of Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton Town while Plymouth Argyle, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday will take the place of Wigan Athletic, Blackpool and Reading. Bristol City ‘set to complete’ £2m midfielder signing as West Brom and Norwich City miss out

Per a report from Football League World, Bristol City are set to complete the signing of Ross McCrorie from Aberdeen for around £2 million. It is claimed that the Robins have scheduled a medical for the former Rangers man at Ashton Gate next week.

West Brom and Norwich City had both previously also been linked with the 25-year old but Bristol were always considered the front runners for his signature and now look to have all but finalised that deal. It is said that a busy summer is expected at Ashton Gate and McCrorie could be the first of many signings for Nigel Pearson’s side as they look to improve their league position.

From an interview with the Daily Mail, he said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time here. I came for the challenge but it’s exceeded what I thought was the reality of football here. If staying is a possibility then we’ll sit down and discuss it, but you never know what’s going to happen. I just want to finish the season strong, welcome my new baby and rest.”
