Birmingham Sports Holdings have announced details of the proposed club takeover to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Knighthead Capital Management are looking to purchase 45.64 percent of the club and the amount the takeover would cost has been revealed in the latest report.

Based on a number of factors, including Birmingham’s net losses, the full takeover has been predicted to cost £22 million in total. Outgoing owners BSHL will also receive bonuses if the Blues can earn promotion to the Premier League in the next two seasons.

Manager offers comments on West Brom transfer target

West Brom remain interested in signing Jerry Yates from Blackpool this summer, following their relegation to League One. Despite their fate, the 26-year-old contributed 15 goals and six assists across all competitions and he has gathered a lot of interest.

Blackpool manager Neil Critchley is aware his star striker has several clubs monitoring him but naturally, he wants Yates to stay. However, he has sensibly acknowledged the possibility of the player wanting to play higher level football next season.

“You want your best players and Jerry is definitely one of them, but you also want players who want to be here as well. Until I have these conversations I don’t know yet so that’s obviously something for us to think about and discuss in the next few weeks,” he told the Blackpool Gazette.

Birmingham target’s agent informs club of Blues interest

Krystian Bielik spent last season on loan with Birmingham City and the club are keen to sign him on a permanent deal. The Poland international has returned to Derby County but his agent has now reportedly informed the club of the Blues’ interest and the two are ‘in contact.’

That’s according to Derbyshire Live, who report that John Eustace is an admirer of Bielik after his loan spell at St Andrew’s. The midfielder has just 12 months left on his current deal with Derby.
