Birmingham City are eager to sign Dion Sanderson on a permanent deal following his successful loan spell during the 2022/23 season. According to Alan Nixon on Patreon (h/t Football League World), the Blues want to bring the centre-back to St Andrew’s full-time from Wolves.
The Premier League club are said to be looking for £2 million to sign off a deal for Sanderson, who has two years left on his current contract at Molineux. Birmingham have tabled an official offer, which is in the region of Wolves’ asking price.
The only bump in the road is over how the fee will be paid. But City are eager to get the deal done as soon as possible in order to avoid entering competition with other interested clubs.
West Brom shareholders set deadline for answers
West Brom group Shareholders For Albion (SFA) have now set a deadline for the club majority owner Xu Ke to provide ‘substantive and meaningful’ answers to questions recently put to him about finances. SFA were left furious when he refused to answer any of the 38 questions submitted on behalf of all minority shareholders and the club’s fanbase.
