West Brom loan man Andreas Weimann is relaxed about his future and is fully focused on the Baggies’ promotion push. The Midlands outfit swooped to land him on a temporary basis from fellow Championship side Bristol City in the January transfer window.

Weimann, who is 32-years-old, has scored two goals in eight games for Carlos Corberan’s side. They are currently sat in 5th in the table.

The attacker has given West Brom more competition and depth in attacking areas. He has also injected some useful experience into their ranks.

His contract at Bristol City expires at the end of the season and he is due to become a free agent in late June as things stand. It remains to be seen at this stage whether the Baggies will be offering him a permanent deal.

Weimann has provided this update on his situation, as per an interview with Kicker: "No, because I still have some important games ahead of me with West Bromwich and I have a big goal with them. There's still a lot going on. I'll be free in the summer, but now I'm fully concentrating on my job at West Bromwich, getting into the play-offs and maybe even promotion.

"If things go well, they might offer me a contract and if not, it still doesn't look so bad that I might get a place with another team that is fighting for promotion again. I have no stress or pressure, I'm enjoying it now that we're playing for something and then we'll see what happens in the summer."

The Austria international, who has 22 caps under his belt, has been on the books at Bristol City since 2018. He has played 215 matches for his parent club and has scored 51 goals, one of which came earlier this term.

Weimann has also had spells in the past at Aston Villa and Derby County. West Brom are back in action this weekend following the international break with games against Millwall away and Watford at home as they look to recapture their momentum.
