After a disappointing mid-week Carabao Cup exit to Derby County, West Bromwich Albion will look to bounce back with victory away at struggling Huddersfield Town in the Championship.

Manager Steve Bruce was disappointed with his side’s performance on Tuesday as they crashed out of the cup to lower league opposition, and will hope that victory over the Terriers can give the club a springboard to build over the remainder of the season.

West Brom’s last league result was a convincing 5-2 victory over Hull, so they will hope to claim a second consecutive league victory for the first time this season.

Huddersfield meanwhile have lost 3 of their opening 4 league games so far this season, and find themselves in the relegation zone in 22nd. The club hasn’t played since the 16th of August - a 2-1 defeat at Norwich City - after Saturday’s tie with Coventry was postponed, and with the club already out of the Carabao Cup, Town have had eleven days to prepare for this encounter.

Here’s what you need to know for this clash.

Steve Bruce is expected to revert to the team that beat Hull in the league last week, after shuffling the pack for the defeat to Derby in the cup.

Daryl Dike is still sidelined, so Karlan Grant will likely retain his place up front.

As for Huddersfield, they will be without defender Tom Lees after he was shown a straight red card in their defeat to Norwich, so Jonathan Hogg could deputise at centre back, with Jon Russell potentially slotting in in central midfield.

The hosts could also have Chelsea loanee Faustino Anjorin back for the game, after the winger missed the Norwich defeat with a dead leg.
