West Bromwich Albion had a heartbreaking end to the season as they just about missed out on finishing in a Championship play-off position, but the Baggies can now look ahead to next campaign.
It’s been a remarkable recovery job from Carlos Corberan so far and the Spaniard will be keen to add some additions to the squad to better West Brom’s chances of going one step further.
Financially, Albion aren’t in a very good position and so the free agents market may have to be where a lot of the new signings are found. Loans are another potential route, but players with contracts expiring soon will definitely be looked at.
With that in mind, we’ve taken a look across England and Europe at just over a dozen soon-to-be free agents who could theoretically make a move to The Hawthorns. Flick through the pages to take a look.

9. Onel Hernández (Norwich City)
The Canaries, many would argue, are at a similar level to West Brom at the moment and Hernández has been regular contributor. The Cuban has registered two goals and five assists this season in a Norwich team that finished with four points less than Albion. 10. Greg Docherty (Hull City)
Although not a definite starter for Hull - who are below the Baggies for expectations - Docherty has often impressed off the bench and could be a better utility option than some of those already at The Hawthorns. Another one with his future very up in the air, the Scotsman is likely to consider his options. | Getty Images

11. Wahbi Khazri (Montpellier)
Formerly of Sunderland and Saint-Ettiene, the former Tunisia international is approaching the final playing years of his career at the age of 32. The attacker has seen a reduction in game time this campaign having started just 51% of Montpellier’s Ligue 1 fixtures. It would be an audacious move, but the Baggies could really do with a versatile goalscorer of his calibre. | AFP via Getty Images

12. Mohamed Elyounoussi (Southampton)
Hasn’t scored a single goal for in the Premier League this season, capping off a very disappointing campaign for the already-relegated Saints. He’s had some better seasons in the past, though, including four goals and two assists during the 2021/22 Premier League term. Also netted 24 goals and contributed 14 assists in 67 games for Celtic. | Getty Images
