Everton are considering a move for West Brom forward Tom Fellows, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

In a post published on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Romano said: "Everton are monitoring 2003 born talent Tom Fellows at WBA over potential summer move, as he's out of contract in June.

"He's been excellent for WBA this season, also scored first goal in FA Cup. 777 Partners like the player and could consider to sign then loan Fellows."

Fellows is out of contract at the end of the season and should the Toffees be successful in their pursuit then the Baggies would at least be due compensation. He has been at the club since under-10s level and should they make an attempt to offer him a deal and him end up elsewhere, they would receive money for him as per FA rules according to Leathes Prior.

Everton's owners are said to be admirers of him and could sign him, and then loan him. If they take him this month then at least a transfer fee would be agreed, whereas compensation is something that could go to a tribunal.

The 20-year-old was on target for West Brom in their 4-1 win against Aldershot Town in the FA Cup on Sunday, scoring and assisting against the Shots. He has enjoyed a breakout campaign at The Hawthorns' making 16 appearances in all competitions with two starts and 14 sub appearances.

In other news, West Brom are in competition with Cardiff City to sign Umit Nayir, according to reports in Turkey. Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu said in a post on X that the Baggies and the Bluebirds are 'interested' in Nayir who plays for Fenerbahce.

Nayir joined Fenerbahce in the summer but has yet to score in 12 appearances. He had a decent goal scoring spell last season, scoring 17 goals in the Turkish Super Lig for Umraniyespor.

He is 30-years-old and is under contract with the Turkish giants until 2025 with an option to extend his contract. Nayir is a four-time Turkey international and his one goal on that stage is against home nation Wales.
