Championship giants West Brom and Birmingham City are currently experiencing very different seasons.

The victory proved to be Eustace’s last game in the dugout and while West Brom have been able to maintain their strong start, the Blues imploded under Wayne Rooney - winning just two of their next 15 games, before replacing the ex-Man Utd captain with the more tried and tested Tony Mowbray.

Both clubs are expected to be active in the January transfer window in the coming weeks and it will be interesting to see what changes Mowbray will make in the coming weeks.

In the meantime Birmingham World has rounded up all of the latest transfer updates and rumours surrounding the rest of the division.

Schumacher guided Plymouth to promotion last term and enjoyed a steady first six months in the second-tier before departing for Stoke. His latest transfer move sees him rub further salt in the wounds of his former employers who he has beaten to the signature of talented midfielder Luke Cundle.

Cundle was signed by Schumacher in a six month loan deal over the summer and spent the first of the campaign at Home Park - playing 24 games and registering three goals and five assists.

The Wolves man has signed a six month loan deal at Stoke City which keeps him at the club until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old was also a member of the Swansea team last term - scoring three and providing four assists in 32 games for the Welsh outfit.

After 18 incredible months at Notts County, Luke Williams made the decision to step up two divisions to take on the Swansea City job. Williams inherits a team that have scored just 35 goals in 26 games. Many fans have called for a striker to be signed in January to boost their play-off bid.

The ex-Notts County boss has been linked with a move for his former Meadow Lane talisman Macaulay Langstaff who fired in a record-breaking 42 goals in the National League last season.

Langstaff has been a revelation for Williams and spearheaded his side’s strong early season form in League Two - scoring 19 in his opening 26 games. However, Williams was quick to dismiss talks of a transfer which will come as a relief to his former employers.

Commenting on Langstaff he told BBC Radio Nottingham: “This is the king of Meadow Lane we’re talking about. I want to make sure he’s there to help them get promoted.”
