A tense final month of the Championship season lies in wait for Birmingham City supporters.
Ahead of Wednesday night’s home game with Cardiff City, the Blues sit in the relegation zone and face another four crucial fixtures over the coming weeks as they look to preserve their second tier status.
Hot on the heels of their home clash with Cardiff comes another St Andrew’s meeting as Coventry City make the short trip across the Midlands. That is followed by an away day double-header in Yorkshire as Gary Rowett’s side visit Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town before a difficult season is rounded off with a home game against Norwich City on the first Saturday of May.
With three home games remaining, the St Andrew’s faithful will have a big part to play in the fight for survival - and there are some very familiar faces that will also be backing the bid to stay up.
1. Mike Skinner - £2.9 million
Musician who grew up in West Heath, best known for his involvement in the band The Streets. Their final album ‘Computers and Blues’ was in reference to Birmingham City.
2. Roy Wood (right) - £3 million
Musician and singer-songwriter hugely successful for his involvement in Electric Light Orchestra and Wizzard. Said to follow Birmingham City.
3. James Phelps - £4.1 million
English actor best known for playing Fred Weasley in the Harry Potter film series. An avid Blues fan who has quite the sibling rivalry with his brother, Oliver, who supports Villa.
4. Simon Fowler - £4.2 million
Singer best known for fronting the band Ocean Colour Scene. Stands out in the band as he supports Birmingham but the rest of his bandmates follow Aston Villa. Good lad.
