Former Birmingham City, West Brom and Aston Villa boss lands League One manager's job

The Seasiders had been on the lookout for a new manager after parting ways with Neil Critchley, and they have landed on Bruce, who has an abundance of managerial experience in the EFL.
The 63-year-old has been out of work for almost two years after being relieved of his duties by West Brom in October 2022. He had a nine-month spell at the Hawthorns, but at the time of their departure, they were 22nd, in what was their lowest position in two decades.

“I’d like to thank Simon, Julian and David for giving me this great opportunity. I look forward to meeting all of the staff and players in the coming days as we prepare for what we all hope will be an exciting season at Bloomfield Road.”
He was unveiled on the same evening Blackpool won 4-1 against Crewe Alexandra in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy. Bruce will be joined by Steve Agnew, whilst Richard Keogh and Stephen Dobbie will play supporting roles on the coaching staff.
The date for Blues fans diary is December 29 when Steve Bruce returns to St Andrew's with Blackpool. Bruce was manager of Birmingham City from 2001 to 2007, and twice won the promotion with them.
