Birmingham City, unbeaten with three wins and one draw, have thoroughly enjoyed life in the third tier so far. Relegation from the Championship was at first a disaster but the mood around the football club has been revived by positive results.

The summer transfer business certainly helped matters, too, with a whopping £30 million spent on bolstering the squad. Chris Davies has countless Championship-level players at his disposal, making Birmingham firm favourites for the title.

With so much excitement brewing, the attendances at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park have sky-rocketed to start the new campaign. The same can be said at a host of other grounds around the nation, too, with supporters eager to boost their clubs’ chances of making a strong start.

That’s even the case when their teams haven’t been able to display such spending power. Diehard fans young and old just love backing their clubs, especially when they’ve missed the matchday experience after a summer break of several months.
