Birmingham City travel to Bramall Lane on Saturday to take on West Ham United in Premier League action.

The Blues have won three of their opening 10 league games, drawing the same number of matches and losing their other four.

John Eustace’s side sit 17th in the table going into Saturday’s fixture having scored the third-lowest (8) number of goals in the competition.

Birmingham come into the game on the back of a 0-0 draw with bottom-of-the-league Coventry City.

As for the Blades, they are unbeaten in their last nine league games, winning seven of them and conceding just four times.

Darren Bond is the man in the middle. He will be assisted by Philip Dermott and Matthew McGrath, while the fourth official for the clash is Ben Toner.

Eustace made one change to his starting XI against Coventry from their 3-2 away win over West Bromwich Albion, with Jordan Graham replacing Marc Roberts.

Roberts will miss this weekend’s game after suffering a hamstring injury at the Hawthorns, while George Friend (undisclosed), Przemyslaw Placheta (shin), Harlee Dean (calf) and Nico Gordon (undisclosed) are also absent.

However, Eustace could see the return of Gary Gardner to his matchday squad. The midfielder has been unavailable due to a calf injury, but could be fit for Saturday.

As for the Blades, Adam Davies could return to their matchday squad. The Wales international played 90 minutes in their Under-21 draw with Hull City on Tuesday.

Jayden Bogle also featured for their U21 side playing 45 minutes. The full-back returned to action following a knee injury that required surgery in February and could be in contention.

However, Paul Heckingbottom will be without Anel Ahmedhodzic. The centre-back sustained a thigh injury while on international duty for Bosnia and Herzegovina, who claim he’ll be out for four weeks.

Other noticeable absentees will be Ciaran Clark, Enda Stevens and Jack Robinson and Ben Osborn.
