Birmingham City are looking to continue their good start to the season when they take on fellow Championship side Norwich City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday (8 August).
John Eustace’s men will be looking to build on an impressive 2-1 victory over Huddersfield Town on Friday evening. Two first half goals from Scott Hogan and Przemyslaw Placheta were enough to hand the Blues all three points in a well deserved win at St Andrew’s.Danny Ward scored a consolation just after the hour mark but away from a shakey few minutes following the goal, John Eustace’s men were comfortable and saw the game out in impressive fashion.

Eustace’s side will now travel to Carrow Road to take on Dean Smith’s men for a place in the second round of the cup.

Is the game on TV?
The fixture hasn’t been selected live for Sky Sports. Bradford vs Hull City is the EFL Cup fixture which will be broadcast live on the channel.
Audio commentary will be available for every league and cup match on the Blues official website. Highlights of the game will also be shown on Sky Sports News.
Team news
Eustace will be expected to ring the changes for City with the club’s priority being the league. Nevertheless, the Bluess boss will pretty much have a fully fit squad to chose from going into the fixture, although Gary Gardner, Nico Gordon, and Harlee Dean are unlikely to feature due injury.

Hide AdFor the Cannaries, Dimi Giannoulis is expected to be out for a minimum of eight weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage against Wigan on Saturday. Grant Hanley will also be available following a suspension.
Blues face Cardiff City next Saturday, kick-off 12.30pm. And then a doubleheader comes at St. Andrew’s the following week, as Watford and Wigan Athletic visit the Second City.
