Birmingham City moved to the top of the Championship table following an impressive 2-1 victory over Huddersfield Town.
Two first half goals from Scott Hogan and Przemyslaw Placheta were enough to hand the Blues all three points in a well deserved win at St Andrew’s.
Danny Ward scored a consolation just after the hour mark but away from a shakey few minutes following the goal, John Eustace’s men were comfortable and saw the game out in impressive fashion.
Here’s how BirminghamWorld rated the performances of the boys in blue on Friday evening.
Birmingham City (3-1-4-2): Ruddy; Trusty, Sanderson, Roberts; Woods; Colin, Bacuna, James, Placheta (89’ Friend); Deeney (75’ Graham), Hogan (82’ Jutkiewicz)
Huddersfield Town (4-1-4-1): Nicholls; Turton, Edmonds-Green (75’ Boyle), Lees, Ruffels; Hogg; Anjorin (76’ Rhodes), Thomas, Russell, Rudoni (89’ Koroma); Ward (76’ Holmes)

Was solid at the back and got up and down the line well. Standard 7/10 performance. | Getty Images

3. Auston Trusty - 7
Has a real calming presence at the back for someone so young. A credit to him. | www.bcfc.com

Ball did split between him and Trusty for the consolation but would be harsh to lay the blame on either of them. Photo: Tony Marshall
