Birmingham City are going well under John Eustace at the moment and he has brought the feel-good factor back to St Andrew’s this season. The Blues beat Hull City 2-0 last time out and are back in action tomorrow against table toppers Burnley at home.

The Midlands outfit have received a boost ahead of their clash against Vincent Kompany’s side with defender Dion Sanderson back available. He missed the trip to East Yorkshire on Sunday afternoon through suspension after picking up five yellow cards.

His team didn’t miss him too much in the end as they returned home with three points from the MKM Stadium thanks to goals from Troy Deeney and Juninho Bacuna. It could’ve been even better for the visitors but Deeney skied a second-half penalty.

Boost for Birmingham

Having Sanderson back is good news for Birmingham and his availability gives Eustace something to think about in terms of his team selection. The Wolves loan man has made 13 appearances in all competitions so far this season and has chipped in with a single goal.

The Blues have had some defensive injury woes recently with Marc Roberts, Nico Gordon and George Friend all suffering from issues. However, the latter two are closing in on their respective returns to the action.

Burnley will be a big test and it would be a real statement of intent if they could pick up a result. Birmingham are currently 12th in the table and are only three points off the play-offs. The Clarets beat Swansea City 4-0 in their last game.
