Aston Villa could be without Tyrone Mings and Cameron Archer for the trip to Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to the Emirates, Gerrard provided an update on the current status of his squad.

“Tyrone did a partial session yesterday,” he said. “We hope he’ll complete a full session today and be available for us.

“Cameron Archer is a doubt, he has a hip issue, I don’t think it’s a big issue but we’ll check him today.”

Arsenal have a few injury worries of their own though and could be without a number of key men for the clash.

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey both missed the win over Fulham at the weekend and both remain doubts for the visit of the claret and blue.
