Chelsea defender Axel Disasi could still yet make a deadline day loan transfer following talks with Aston Villa and Tottenham.
It seemed earlier on in the day that all hopes of a loan away were over but there could still be movement if the player has a change of heart.

Hide AdDisasi is determined to join Villa today after a phone call conversation with Unai Emery last week, while he’s already agreed personal terms. Chelsea have been very tough to negotiate with, however, greedily demanding a huge fee for the defender’s loan.
Birmingham World understands Villa have ended their pursuit of Disasi and are instead focusing on other potential targets. Emery would preferably sign a defender but it’s understood it’s not seen internally as an absolute necessity, even despite the recent sale of Diego Carlos to Fenerbahce and the injury to Pau Torres.
The only way Disasi can join Villa is if Chelsea get back in contact to re-negotiate and stop demanding over the odds in regards to the loan fee. The reason the Blues are being awkward is because they are reluctant to let a player leave to strengthen a rival in the Champions League fight. This was also the case for Villa target Joao Felix.
Spurs ‘resurrect’ Chelsea transfer negotiations
Tottenham could still be a destination for Disasi, however, with The Telegraph now reporting Spurs have “resurrected” their swoop to sign the defender for the rest of the season. Ange Postecoglou’s side are said to have a full agreement in place with Chelsea to bring in the Frenchman for a fee of £5 million, plus salary coverage.

Hide AdThe sticking point is with the player himself as Disasi has been reluctant to join Tottenham, instead favouring the proposed move to Villa, which led to Spurs looking at alternative targets. But negotiations have restarted and Spurs are now making a new and final approach in a bid to convince the player.
Disasi joined Chelsea from AS Monaco for a reported £38.5 million fee in 2021 but his minutes have restricted since the arrival of Enzo Maresca, who has granted the 26-year-old just four Premier League starts so far. Reports of a £50 million bid being prepared by Villa are understood to be well wide of the mark.
