A shock report has alleged Aston Villa are readying a stunning £50 million offer to sign Axel Disasi from Chelsea following a breakdown in talks over a loan deal.
Football Insider claims Villa are so keen on bringing in Disasi to reinforce their defence that they are willing to fork out a near-record fee to acquire his services.

Hide AdIn complete contrary, however, Birmingham World understands Villa have given up on their pursuit of Disasi. The Frenchman had agreed personal terms and had his heart set on a move to Villa Park on loan following a direct conversation with Unai Emery on last Monday, but Chelsea asked for a too significant loan fee.
The Blues are reluctant to allow any players join direct rivals in the Premier League top four race. Villa were keen on signing versatile attacker Joao Felix - with Unai Emery very eager to work with the Portuguese - but no talks fully progressed for the same reason.
Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Disasi with Fabrizio Romano reporting this morning that a loan fee had been agreed with Chelsea. The player isn’t overly keen on the move, however, and needs some serious convincing. Spurs, just like Villa, may soon end their pursuit.
Fabrizio Romano truth on £50m Aston Villa bid claim
Romano’s understanding, just like that of Birmingham World, is that Villa are no longer progressing with a deal for Disasi in any form. The transfer news specialist has reported Emery is now “considering different options” following Chelsea’s unrealistic demands.

Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers rather brutally exposed Villa’s defensive frailties in the absences of Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings, so Emery is determined to land a new defender.
